How Secure IRL handles your information, and the cookies this website uses. Last updated 8 October 2026.
This website is run by Secure IRL, PSA-licensed installers of house alarms, CCTV, fire alarms, access control, intercoms and electric gates (PSA licence no. 11256), at 138 Temple Mills, Rathangan, Co. Kildare, R51 PA46. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website.
Questions about this policy or your information: email info@secureirl.ie or call (045) 241 135.
Quote and enquiry forms. When you ask for a quote, enquire about a product or choose an alarm package, we receive your name, phone number and email address, your Eircode, the type of property, the package, service or product you are interested in and anything you write in your message. We use this to contact you, arrange a site visit and send you a written quote, and to carry out any work you go ahead with. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and performing that contract.
Calls, emails and WhatsApp. If you call, email or message us on WhatsApp, we use your number or address and what you tell us to reply and deal with your enquiry. WhatsApp is run by WhatsApp Ireland Limited, which processes those messages under its own privacy policy.
Spam protection. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to stop automated spam. reCAPTCHA checks your device and how you use the page, and Google receives information such as your IP address. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping our forms free of spam. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Enquiry counts. Our website provider records that an enquiry was made (which form, which page and when) so we can see how well the website is working. It does not keep what you wrote or your contact details.
Website statistics. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site, for example which pages are viewed and whether someone taps to call, email or WhatsApp us. Google Analytics does not run until you accept, and you can change your choice at any time. The legal basis is your consent.
Crime statistics tool. The “Crime in your area?” tool shows published figures from the Central Statistics Office. We do not record which area you look up.
We do not sell your information. We only share it with the service providers we need to run the business and this website:
We may also share information where the law requires it. Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they rely on safeguards approved under EU law, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep enquiries for up to 12 months if they do not lead to any work. If you become a customer, we keep the records we need for your installation, warranty and servicing, and for as long as Irish tax and accounting law requires, normally six years. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Under the GDPR you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We only use necessary cookies by default. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time with the cookie button in the corner of the page.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, such as the forms, from working.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
